Known for long soothing strokes to flush out the muscle tissue of lactic acid and other wastes, Swedish massage increases circulation and stimulates the skin and nervous system. This stress-relieving full-body massage is suited for those who specifically prefer light to medium pressure.
Light pressure only
It does NOT relieve pain/spasm or remove muscle knots.
Swedish+Deep Tissue Combination Massage
Customized combination massage tailored to your body
Individually customized for the needs of each client, our combination massage integrates Swedish and Deep Tissue massage techniques to release muscle tension. This integrative massage is perfect for those who prefers deep work on certain parts of the body (e.g., back, neck, or shoulder) but prefer lighter touch on other parts of the body.
Slow, deep strokes stimulate deep into the muscle tissue to loosen muscle fibers, alleviate pain and increase mobility. Suitable for those who require deep, focused pressure on chronically tense areas (such as necks, low back and shoulders). Great for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range-of-motion issues. Unlike a full-body Swedish massage, deep tissue massage is a focused massage on your problem area(s).
Tailored to the needs of each mom-to-be, the pre-natal massage reduces stress, decreases swelling in the arms and legs and relieves aches and pains in muscles and joints.
Ashiatsu (Barefoot Massage with Oil)
The deepest therapeutic massage with foot pressure
An ancient Eastern technique meets the West, using the best combined elements of traditional Thai massage, barefoot Shiatsu from Japan and Keralite massage from southern India. The term Ashiatsu comes from the Japanese words “ashi” for foot and “atsu” for pressure. Supported by wooden bars suspended over you, the therapist applies continuous deep pressure and slow flowing strokes using her feet. Ashiatsu brings relief to chronic back pain, sciatica, scoliosis, tight and painful hamstrings and calves, and fibrosis. It is popular among athletes and bodybuilders who demand deep work. (Santa Rosa location only)
Single room only
Minimal draping: If you are modest, please wear underwear.
Therapeutic combination massage includes a hot stone massage along the neck, shoulder and back for deeper relaxation and stress relief. Your choice of an essential oil: lavender, orange, lemon, eucalyptus, peppermint, or pine.
Hot Stone Massage
Relaxing Swedish-style or deep-tissue style with stones
Heated stones along with hand massage warms muscle tissue quickly and deeply — enhancing relaxation, releasing toxins much quicker than hand massage alone. Hot stone massage helps reduce muscle tension/pain, improves circulation and calms the mind.
Hot Herbal Poultice Massage
Customized massage with warm herbal poultice
With a couple of heated herbal heat compress used for centuries, the treatment opens the pores bringing deep medicinal heat into muscles. The steamed aromatic compress is applied directly to the body in a kneading action to release muscle tension and stiffness, increase blood flow, and soothe the body and mind.
Heat and herbs are absorbed by the body to help to reduce aches and pains, increase lymphatic drainage and condition the skin. In addition to ginger, lemongrass, camphor and other indigenous organic Thai herbs, the poultice contains antioxidants turmeric, a natural skin softener, and tamarind, which hydrates and regenerates skin cells. The poultice containing the aromatic herbs effectively treats sprain, sharp pain, bruise, soreness and relaxes the tendons and ligaments.
